The first son was Thomas and his birth can be determined from the baptism of his oldest son, William, in 1689 -- He must have been born no later than about 1668, but probably earlier. From Thomas’ will, dated in 1724, we surmise that he was married about 1688, and we know he had 9 children: William, b. 1689; Anna, 1693; Diannah, 1696; Abraham, 1699; Edward, 1700; Mary, 1702; Samuel, 1705; Jacob, 1707; and Sarah, 1709. The last 3 were minors when the will was written.
